The countdown to the April 30th tax credit deadline has begun. The next month is going to be one of the best times to buy and sell real estate. Some would call the next month before the tax credit ends the perfect storm in real estate. Interest rates are at all time lows and home values are also at all time lows in Chicagoland & in most parts of the country.

Sellers also benefit by selling their home in this market because home inventory has dropped due to all the properties being snatched up by eager tax credit seeking buyers. The supply of buyers is still high, so homeowners looking to sell should put their home on the market as soon as possible.

If you are considering buying a home and you don’t do it by the end of April, it will be like missing the 33% increase in the stock market over the past year.
